Nondestructive Testing No Harm Done: Confirming Quality Without Harming the Sample
Nondestructive testing (NDT) testing can detect surface and sub-surface defects or verify dimensional characteristics without harming your material or product. LTI’s technicians are certified to ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS410/MIL-STD-410, MIL-STD-2132 and Pratt & Whitney PWA-NDTQ to meet your industry requirements. The capacities of our nondestructive testing equipment and the layout of our facility allow LTI to inspect materials of almost any size and orders of almost any quantity using NDT methods:
- Ultrasonic Testing (Contact or high-speed immersion for round stock between 1/8 in. and 6 5/8 in. diameter and lengths up to 75 ft.)
- Hydrostatic Pressure Testing (Tubing, pipe and fittings tested to pressures up to 10,000 PSI)
- Magnetic Particle Inspection (Visible dry or fluorescent wet methods with a maximum output of 6,300 amps for products up to 12 ft. long)
- Liquid Penetrant Inspection (Fluorescent or visible dye for products up to 40 ft. long)
- Radiography, X-ray Inspection (20 ft. x 20 ft. radiography room for large and small parts) Read "CT Scanner Part Inspected with Radiography"
- Visual Inspection (SNT-TC-1A certified)
- Welder and Procedure Qualification
